Evolution Studios has revealed the full list of steering wheels compatible with DriveClub, confirming that players will be able to choose from a range of three Thrustmasters to take behind the wheel of next month's PS4 racer.

The Thrustmaster T80, Thrustmaster T300RS and Thrustmaster T500 will each be compatible with the game, with Evo said to have been "working really closely" with the manufacturer to "make sure that they're perfectly tuned for DriveClub and PS4".

"In fact, we've actually spent time with pro drivers recently and we got to see what they could do behind the wheel of a Thrustmater T300RS in Driveclub!" said community manager Jamie Brayshaw. "It was epic to see Sebastian Loeb acing almost every corner of an epic downhill point-to-point route set in Canada — and set one of the fastest lap times we’ve ever seen — on his first go. And watching Daniel Juncadella go up against near-perfect AI and stay wheel-to-wheel with them all the way to finish line was awesome!"

Evolution says that it hopes to add support for additional wheels from Thrustmaster and other manufacturers as they release, although it's worth bearing in mind that the T500 does not include support for PS4 Share functionality.

Compatible steering wheels:

  • Thrustmaster T80
  • Thrustmaster T300RS
  • Thrustmaster T500
  • +others TBC from Evo

DriveClub launches on PS4 next Friday, October 10.

Check out the Dragon Age Inquisition character creation tool in this new gameplay video

Dragon Age Inquisition will feature a pretty in-depth character creation tool, as demoed in this new gameplay video released by EA and BioWare.

The video shows off a host of different races and the customisations possible, such as giving yourself a huge Adam's Apple. Options available are race dependent meaning you can't give a dwarf horns, but you can make sure he's got a big beard.

Dragon Age Inquisition launches November 21 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Battlefield Hardline will ship with 9 maps and 7 game modes, Visceral Games has confirmed.

General manager Steve Papoutsis confirmed the map count to Youtuber Jackfrags in an interview posted yesterday, revealing that "there's actually 7 game modes, 9 multiplayer maps, a whole single-player campaign, a unique story, different weapons, new vehicles [and] eSports modes" set to be included in the final game.

"There's just tonnes of stuff that I'm really happy to talk about and excited and proud of what the team's doing," he said.

In comparison, Battlefield 3 shipped with 9 maps and Battlefield 4 with 10, with the number of maps more than doubling via post-release DLC.

Some fans have already been able to get to grips with one Battlefield Hardline map, High Tension, which featured in the multiplayer beta earlier this year.

Battlefield Hardline launches on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in early 2015.

This is what Alien Isolation looks like on PS3

Screenshots purporting to be of the PlayStation 3 version of Alien Isolation have leaked online.

The screens are alleged to have first appeared on a Russian forum before being reuploaded on Alien fansite AVP Galaxy, and reveal the first ever look at the last-gen version. SEGA has yet to officially release screenshots of the Xbox 360 and PS3 game.

Judging by the screens, the last-gen version appears to suffer from the usual technical limitations found in cross-gen titles, including poorer lighting and lower resolution textures.

FIFA 15 sold 100,000 more copies on PS4 than Xbox One in UK - Report

FIFA 15 screenshot
FIFA 15 screenshot

The PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 15 outsold the Xbox One version by 100,000 units in the UK, according to a new report.

While access to sales figures is usually restricted to companies partnered with Chart-Track, UK newspaper Metro claims to have been told of the sales difference by an "insider".

"Chart-Track doesn't reveal actual sales figures, since companies have to pay to access that information and aren't supposed to make it public. But an insider tells us that the PlayStation 4 version was ahead of the Xbox One by 100,000 units," says Metro.

"That's an awful lot considering how much effort Microsoft put in with co-promoting the game with EA, including the Xbox exclusive Ultimate Team Legends mode."

Figures posted by Metro, however, suggest that Xbox 360 was on par with PS4 sales, with PS4 reportedly accounting for 32 per cent of total sales, Xbox 360 at 30 per cent, Xbox One at 22 per cent and PS3 at 15 per cent.

EA has yet to announce sales figures for the game. However, it was revealed this morning that week one sales were up by 15 per cent over last year's FIFA 14 due to the simultaneous launch on Xbox One and PS4.

FIFA 15 landed in the UK last Friday shooting straight to the top of the UK charts. Thinking about buying it on your lunch hour? Find out where to pick it up cheapest with our supermarket and high street price roundup.

PES 2015 is 1080p on PS4, 720p on Xbox One

PES 2015 screenshot
PES 2015 screenshot

PES 2015 will run at 1080p on PlayStation 4 and 720p on Xbox One, Konami has confirmed. Both platforms will run at 60fps.

The Xbox One version, however, will include support for up to 8 players. On PS4, that's limited to 4 players.

The specifications were revealed on the game's Japanese website, along with confirmation that the PS3 version would also run at 720p/60fps. It's assumed that the Xbox 360 version may perform similarly, although the console isn't listed on the website.

The specs match those of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes earlier in the year, which also runs on Konami's FOX Engine. In comparison, FIFA 15 runs at 1080p/60fps on both PS4 and Xbox One.

A playable demo of PES 2015 rolled out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 last week, and lets players choose between seven teams to sample a 10 minute match.

The full game is due to launch on November 13.

PlayStation Home closes its doors on March 31, 2015

PlayStation Home is finally coming to an end, Sony has announced.

On March 31, 2015, the PS3 community platform will shut down in Europe for good, with the final additional content due to roll out on November 12.

"PlayStation Home has been serving the PS3 community since December 2008," said Sony. "During that time, tens of millions of users around the world have grown the social gaming platform into a thriving community of creative and enthusiastic gamers.

"Due to a shifting landscape, PlayStation Home will cease publishing new content on the 12th of November, 2014. Gamers in Europe will be able to download content until the 3rd of December, 2014. As a token of our tremendous gratitude to the community, we will also be releasing a series of free content prior to the platforms closure on the 31st of March, 2015.

"We would like to thank all of our fans for their support of the PlayStation Home platform over the years."

Content purchased within PlayStation Home will not be eligible for refunds, Sony says, "due to the progressive and innovative nature of the gaming industry".

And don't think that the PS3 switch-off is as a result of a transition over to PS4. According to Sony, "there are no plans for PlayStation Home to come to PlayStation 4".

Link's horse Epona to be added as Hyrule Warriors DLC

Hyrule Warriors screenshot

Link's dependable horse Epona will be included in the October 16 release of Hyrule Warriors' Master Quest Pack DLC, The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has announced.

However, Epona wont be a playable character, but a weapon. A weapon, you ask? Aonuma explains:

"Some of you may be surprised to hear that Epona is a 'weapon', but in Hyrule Warriors, she can team up with Link to attack enemies!" he explained on Miiverse. "I already had a chance to try out Epona in the game. By riding Epona, I was able to blow herds of enemies away and gallop swiftly through the fields, and I had a lot of fun trying out this re-imagined version of her in Hyrule Warriors.

"In the Zelda series, players never had a chance to tackle bosses by galloping around them with Epona like in Hyrule Warriors, so I hope fans will enjoy playing as Zelda characters in a game with a different type of action than you typically find in the original series."

The DLC pack will also offer new scenarios and costumes, with details to be announced at a later date.

The Evil Within has gone gold ahead of its release early next month, Bethesda has announced.

The news means there'll be no more delays for Shinji Mikami's latest survival horror, which had initially been due to release in August.

"Putting out a game on five platforms (PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4) across multiple regions is no easy feat," said Bethesda, "but we’re excited to announce The Evil Within has officially 'Gone Gold'!

Watch Dogs is still the fastest-selling new IP in western Europe, not Destiny – Ubisoft

Watch Dogs screenshot
Watch Dogs screenshot

Watch Dogs remains the fastest-selling new IP in western Europe, Ubisoft has said in response to claims from Activision last week stating that Destiny had become the "biggest new video game franchise launch in history".

In a press release highlighting today's release of Watch Dogs' Bad Blood DLC, Ubisoft stated: "[Watch Dogs] became the industry's fastest-selling new IP in its first week -- a record that still stands in all western European territories combined -- by delivering a potent combination of action-adventure missions, seamless multiplayer modes and open-world exploration."

Ubisoft claims that the data is based on GFK retail data as of September 14, and includes all platforms except PC within the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Benelux, Scandinavia and Austria.

Chart Track announced earlier this week that Destiny had become the fastest-selling new IP specifically within the UK.

Watch Dogs sold through 4 million copies during its first week on sale back in May, breaking industry records for a new IP. Sales figures for Destiny have yet to be announced.

Destiny on PS4 drops four places to sixth, while the PS3 version holds in fourth.

Constructor first launched on PC 16 years ago and saw players managing a construction company, building houses, moving in families, and driving other players out of business. The game later arrived on PS1. A remake has yet to be formally announced.

Titanfall: IMC Rising DLC lands on Xbox One & PC tomorrow

Titanfall's third expansion pack IMC Rising will be available to download on Xbox One and PC tomorrow, September 25, Respawn has announced.

IMC Rising introduces three new maps to the multiplayer shooter, including Backwater, Zone 18 and Sand Trap, and is the last expansion included with the game's Season Pass. Respawn has yet to clarify whether further DLC will be made available further down the line.

  • Backwater: Backwater is defined by its elevation changes. The rice paddies give Titans room to dash and duel in open fields, but gaining the high ground in the center of the map is often the superior tactical option.
  • Zone 18: Zone 18 is a fast paced environment with two main sections divided by a central supply path. While many Pilots will seek the protection of the facility's interior passages, others will take advantage of the long sight lines provided by the limited rooftop cover.
  • Sand Trap: In the center is a buried bunker inspired by the buried architecture in Fracture; this lets Titans stomp around above while pilots scurry below. Across the map are deep trenches that create a well-run highway for pilots; inspired by wall running in Rise they give quick and (relatively) safe routes across the map.

Ex-Virtuos employee says he worked on Just Cause 3

A former employee at Chinese outsourcing studio Virtuos has revealed that he worked on Just Cause 3 earlier this year.

According to his LinkedIn profile the employee left the studio in March 2014, having allegedly worked on Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Just Cause 3.

Virtuos is often used by publishers and developers to collaborate on development of major titles. The firm was hired by Square Enix earlier this year to create the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

just cause 3 linkedin -

Just Cause 3 has yet to be formally announced by Avalanche despite persistent rumours suggesting that the game could be in development.

Last year, the LinkedIn profile of Avalanche Studios boss Christofer Sundberg stated that the studio was working on an "unannounced sandbox action game... in a very well-known game series" for Square Enix, presumed to be Just cause 3. He added that the title was "scheduled for completion in June 2015 for next generation console platforms".

Mad Max's delay, however, which Sundberg said was "scheduled for release in April 2014" could have had a domino effect on Just Cause 3's development.

Earlier this summer, Avalanche teased that it has "several surprises planned" for 2015, with the year "set to be the biggest year since the inception of Avalanche Studios more than a decade ago".

Trion lowers ArcheAge pricing following fan outrage

Trion Worlds has reduced the pricing of ArcheAge following anger from European fans.

In a statement provided to VideoGamer.com this morning, Trion apologised for the "misunderstanding on [its] side that led to justifiable confusion" and announced that it would be reducing the price of its Patron packages to reflect earlier comments.

"Some of you have rightly pointed out that in a livestream leading up to ArcheAge's launch, we mentioned that the Patron prices in GBP would match the same as our pricing for RIFT patron, and that this wasn’t the case by the time the game shipped," said Trion.

"This weekend we promised to look into what happened there and get back to you. I'm happy to say that we spotted where the miscommunication was, which will help us do better in future assurances.

"In the meanwhile, we’d like to put our money where our mouth is. We're making a price adjustment that brings reality in line with our previous assurance."

A one month Patron will now cost £8.99, with 3 month Patrons and 6 month Patrons available for £23.97 and £41.94 respectively. Players who decide to purchase a Patron will also receive a one-time grant of bonus credits.

"For those of you on automatically renewing plans, you will cycle to the new, lower price when your existing cycle ends," added Trion.

"We definitely do apologize for the misunderstanding on our side that led to justifiable confusion out in the world. Thanks very much for catching this!"

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is a 2.5D platformer developed by Climax

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China screenshot

Ubisoft has announced Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, a 2.5D side-scrolling "reimagining" due for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC by early 2015.

Developed by Climax Studios, ACC: China takes players to 16th century Beijing, where they'll play as female assassin Shao Jun, a disciple of Assassin's Creed II star Ezio Auditore "hell bent on revenge".

"Take your adventure beyond France to a new standalone story set in 16th century China starring Shao Jun, a fan-favourite from the Assassin's Creed Embers animated movie," says Ubisoft. "Trained by Ezio Auditore, Shao Jun has returned to Beijing as the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood. Hell-bent on revenge, she will strike out against those who destroyed her Brotherhood.

"Experience an entirely new setting for the franchise in a beautifully stylized world inspired by traditional brush paintings. Shao Jun's powerful martial arts skills and new Assassin gear like the Jian Sword and the Foot Blade will allow her to eliminate her targets from the shadows or take on groups in all-out combat. Explore legendary landmarks like the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City and encounter famous historical figures in this new 2.5D digital download title."

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China will be available as part of a Season Pass with Assassin's Creed Unity and - presumably – as a standalone download.

A standalone price has yet to be announced.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain's wolf puppy is the cutest thing

Hideo Kojima has revealed a new buddy Snake is able to partner up with on his journey throughout Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain - and it's probably one the cutest things you've seen in games.

The wolf pup, named DD, is able to join your team after encountering its mother partway through the game and, after maturing into a full grown wolf, can accompany Snake on future missions.

According to online reports it's possible for players to miss the wolf pup altogether, with it only becoming available after stumbling into its mother.

It's also alleged that DD (along with Snake's horse and female sniper Quiet) can die as a result of the player's actions, with the story continuing without them following their death.

Take a look at the video above for the full introduction to DD or the gif below for a full-on cute meltdown.

The PlayStation 4 version of Tropico 5 has been delayed to early 2015, Kalypso has revealed. The game had previously been due to go on sale this autumn.

The news follows weeks after confirmation that the Xbox 360 version had also been delayed to November, having previously been due to release this summer.

A reason for the PS4 version's delay has not been provided.

Tropico 5 first released on PC back in May, with Mac and SteamOS versions launching earlier today.
