PlayStation Network will be taken offline for maintenance at 6pm next Monday, November 17 until midnight Tuesday, November 18, Sony has announced.
PlayStation owners will be unable to log in to Account Management, PS Home or the PlayStation Store during this time. However, online gameplay and third party services will remain available to those who have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authenticated details cached.
That said, Sony warns that there "may be some additional downtime after the maintenance period for testing purposes". Which begs the question: will the launch of GTA 5 and Far Cry 4 be affected by the downtime?
Both games are due to go on sale at midnight on Tuesday. But if PSN remains offline for longer than expected, will players be able to unlock their digital pre-orders or download GTA 5's day one patch...?
