Titanfall 2

There are a lot of multiplayer based game that has released this year, but none may be more kinetic and energetic as Titanfall 2. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, this FPS sees players take control of not only nimble pilots but massive death machines known as Titans. This also marks the first time that the Titanfall series is available for PlayStation 4 users, as the original title was only available for the Xbox 360. ‘

There is also a single player campaign that has been included this time around, which is a first for the series and a response to the outcry from fans of the original. Now that this game has officially released upon the world, one has to wonder what’s new and if it’s worth picking up.

Here is everything you need to know about Titanfall 2:

1.Titanfall 2’s Campaign Focuses Around Jack Cooper and is Around 7 Hours Long

Unlike the first title in this series, Titanfall 2 actually has a flushed out campaign that is looking to add more depth and meaning to the world around the player. While the original games’ story was told through voice chatter during multiplayer matches it’s clear that Respawn Entertainment are trying to add more flavor and intrigued into the world of Titanfall. Players this time around will take control of a Militia pilot known as Jack Cooper who actually acquired his Titan, BT-7274, after the mech’s original driver died. The duo are trapped behind enemy lines of the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and need to escape.

Titanfall 2‘s campaign will not just include heavy combat sections, but softer moments and large-scale boss battles. It’s also been reported that the single player mode will take around 7 hours to complete. This is a fairly short campaign, though the length shouldn’t be considered a dealbreaker by any means.

2. Titanfall 2’s Multiplayer Will Include 6 Very Different Titans for Players to Use

One of, if not the biggest draw to playing Titanfall 2 online has to be piloting your Titan into battle. Thankfully, Respawn Entertainment have offered up 6 different classes of Titan to choose from, each with their own skills and abilities. This allows for players to use the mech that fits their needs best or ones that compliment their Pilots current in-game build. The first of the six Titans is Ronin, a nimble sword wielding mech that can deal devastating damage to others at close range. Northstar lets you live out you rain justice from above via a rocket storm, while Scorch utilizes a variety of fire-based attacks.

The Legion Titan is a slower moving mech that uses a Gatling Gun to suppress enemy infantry and shred through Titans, though Ion has some of the best single target damage output thanks to its chest beam and laser canon. Finally, Tone is the middle ground Titan as it offers great defense and offense, plus has rockets that can track your target if they miss. Each of these Titans can be customized and experimented with through both the multiplayer and single-player modes.
