Pokemon Go is available for iOS and Android devices. (Niantic)
A new Pokemon Go update has just been released featuring over 80 new Pokemon.
With the update, some generation one Pokemon also have brand new evolutions, with one of those being Scyther. Scyther can now be evolved into Scizor, but in order to do that, you’ll need to make use of a special item.
To evolve Scyther into Scizor, not only do you need Scyther candy, but you also need a Metal Coat. This is a brand new item that has just been added to the game in the February 16th update, and it can be obtained by visiting PokeStops.

A Metal Coat item can also be used to evolve Onix into Steelix.
With the new Pokemon Go update barely an hour old, it’s unclear at this time how frequent Metal Coats will appear in PokeStops. Other evolution items now available in the game are King’s Rock, Dragon Scale, Up-Grade and Sun Stone.
